Highlight video of my missionary trip to Honduras. I pray it inspires you to get involved in missions too!
I’m pretty certain I’ll have forgotten something despite the fact that I packed a week ago and have checked and re-checked the list in my mind too many times to count. I’ve written letters, cards, postcards, and have tied up all the ends I could think of in the hopes of leaving everything organized in the event I don’t come back. Yeah, like in case I die. I’m not trying to be morbid, just realistic. When traveling to a 3rd world country, especially one with a crime rate as high as Honduras, you do always the risk of, well, losing your life. Thankfully, I’ve already lost mine. You see, once I gave my life to Jesus, to live is Christ and to die is gain (Phil. 1:21). Jesus himself said don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, but rather of the one who can kill your soul (Matt. 10:28). And Paul reminds us in Romans 8:38-39 that absolutely nothing can separate us from the love of God in Jesus his son. “Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation” to be exact. I’m confident that covers anything and everything. So. We march on. We confront a battle ground with swords unsheathed and shields ready, with the full armor of God prepared for battle.
Your prayers for the next 10 days are very much appreciated.
Where you live doesn’t make you a missionary the mission you are on does.
LIVE out your faith, don’t just talk about it.
