Today we got to go to church and hear God’s word. The preacher shared how a house built on a rock will not fall. That rock is Jesus, and he’s so right. It’s amazing to see spirit filled people who are full of joy despite what we Americans perceive as “poverty”. Because when you have Christ, you are rich. When u invest in heaven you are assured a reward. We got to eat at an amazing restaurant with a breathtaking view and then went into a little town to do some touristy shopping and people watching. I loved that the people were all congregated in the plaza enjoying an afternoon in the sun. With the smell of food and bon fires and espresso mixed in the air, it was rather surreal. Made me.realize that the finer things in life, like relationships and times spent with loved ones can’t be bought or sold and are more special than any material thing you could ever buy. The ride to town and back was through windy bumpy roads and the scenery was breathtaking. It’s truly amazing and awe inspiring to see the raw beauty of this place and am grateful to have had the opportunity to witness it. All that to say I’m smitten with this place and may not go back home. Lol. And we haven’t even met the kids yet!!! Knowing that God is in control and seeking His will, I have this stirring in my heart for missions… and really pray God allow me to return. Oh and did I mention they have an opening for a graphic designer? … ;)
