Out team made it to Tegucigalpa safely and on schedule. Some of us with fewer than a couple hours of sleep, but all very excited none the less. We were greeted by Andrew and Simi Davis, our team missionaries from WGO, and embarked on the 1.5 hour trek up the windy, unfinished roads of the mountain. The scenery had been breathtaking and we are just blown away at the smiles that spread across so many faces at the site of Andrew and Simi. We realize that they have built relationships with the towns people and shine the love and hope of Jesus everyday. It’s something we can all aspire to in our everyday lives, whether standing in line at Starbucks or serving at a soup kitchen or ministering to the poor in Honduras- the bottom line is we should all strive to make Jesus shine through everything we do. We are so excited for what God is going to do this week, and are so grateful that He’s brought us this far, I can’t wait to see what He does!
